At the LDA, we work every day to empower individuals with learning disabilities and ADHD through education, advocacy, and support. Over the years, Dean Team Subaru has shown an extraordinary level of dedication to our mission. Through ongoing fundraising efforts and community initiatives, they have helped raise more than $200,000 in support of LDA. This generosity has made a lasting impact, allowing us to expand programs, reach more families, and provide critical resources to individuals who need them most. DRIVING HOPE INTO EVERY HOME - Adam S.

At Dean Team Subaru, being part of the community means more than selling vehicles, it means showing up when it matters most. Dean Team Subaru is proud to partner with Angel Arms, an organization dedicated to keeping children safe, families together, and hope alive. Angel Arms works tirelessly to prevent child abuse and neglect by supporting foster families, kinship caregivers, and children in crisis. Their mission is rooted in compassion, stability, love and values that closely align with Subaru’s belief that love is what makes a Subaru, a Subaru. Through this partnership, Dean Team Subaru has helped provide essential resources to children and families served by Angel Arms, from everyday necessities to meaningful support that helps create safer, more nurturing environments. Whether it’s ensuring a child has what they need to feel secure or helping a family stay together during challenging times, every act of support makes a lasting difference. Together, Dean Team Subaru and Angel Arms are driving positive change one family, one child, and one caring moment at a time. Because when a community comes together with love and purpose, the road ahead becomes brighter for everyone.

Dean Team Subaru & the Megan Meier Foundation - Adam S.

The Megan Meier Foundation was created in memory of Megan Meier, whose life was tragically impacted by cyber bullying. Today, the foundation works tirelessly to provide education, support, and prevention programs that empower young people to make compassionate choices online and in person. For Dean Team Subaru, supporting this mission felt not only natural but necessary. Throughout the year, Dean Team Subaru rallies behind the foundation’s events, programs, and outreach. Whether they’re sponsoring community workshops, hosting awareness initiatives at the dealership, or providing resources to help the foundation reach more students, the goal remains the same: spread kindness and protect kids. One of the most meaningful moments came during a school outreach day, when foundation educators shared real stories with students about empathy, digital responsibility, and mental health. Dean Team Subaru associates who attended saw firsthand how deeply the message resonated. They watched students open up, ask questions, and leave with tools to support their peers. It was a powerful reminder that small acts of love can create big ripples of change. For Dean Team Subaru, giving back is not about recognition it's about impact. And by supporting the Megan Meier Foundation, they’re helping build a community where every child feels seen, valued, and safe.

Dean Team Subaru Opens Doors for Hundreds of Homeless Animals - Lynese C.

During Subaru Loves Pets Month, Dean Team Subaru once again demonstrated what it means to live the Subaru Love Promise. At our annual Trunk or Treat event, the dealership generously donated $1,000 to support the mission of Open Door Animal Sanctuary, Missouri’s largest no kill shelter and home to more than 350 animals every single day. This contribution made an immediate and meaningful impact. It helped provide daily care, food, and medical support for over 250 cats and nearly 100 dogs currently living at our sanctuary. It also supported our ongoing rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming programs, allowing us to place an average of 1,500 animals each year into loving homes. In addition to saving lives, Dean Team Subaru’s support strengthened our low cost spay and neuter and pet owner assistance programs and services that help families in need keep the pets they love while reducing animal homelessness across the greater St. Louis community. What makes this partnership truly special is the shared belief that every animal deserves love, safety, and a second chance. For years, Dean Team Subaru has championed that mission. Their kindness continues to help us open doors for animals who arrive scared, abandoned, or overlooked and give them hope for a brighter future.

"Super" STL Retailers Make a Wish Come True - Brian W.

Occasionally there are opportunities for local competitors to team up for a great cause. One such event occurred in late December when Make-A-Wish Missouri & Kansas needed multiple community partners to carry out a very special scavenger hunt. Who answered the call? Saint Louis, Missouri Subaru retailers Lou Fusz Subaru St. Louis, Dean Team Subaru, and Sunset Hills Subaru. Together, they combined forces to create a magical Super Mario-themed adventure for a very special child. That child was none other than Aleks, an 8-year-old who dreamed of visiting Disneyland and Super Nintendo World. Aleks’ journey began with a thrilling scavenger hunt across St. Louis as she channeled her inner Mario. Guided by clues, Aleks’ first stop was at Lou Fusz Subaru St. Louis, where the team greeted her like a conquering hero. She received her first “power up” and after a few clues, was off to Dean Team Subaru. Yet again, Aleks was cheered on as the victor that she is as she received her second “power up”. These two stops helped prepare her for her ultimate challenge: defeating the villainous Bowser, who was holding Princess Peach captive at Sunset Hills Subaru. In a grand finale fit for a true champion, Aleks arrived at Sunset Hills Subaru to confront Bowser in an epic showdown. Once she triumphed, Princess Peach herself appeared to present Aleks with the ultimate prize—an all-expenses-paid trip to Super Nintendo World and Disneyland, where her dreams will come true! This incredible day highlighted the Subaru Love Promise, as the dealerships worked together to fill Aleks’s journey with joy, creativity, and unforgettable moments. The backbone of being a Subaru retailer is supporting your community and giving back. No one was more deserving than the brave Aleks!

Helping People in Need - Mary H.

Feed My People has been in the St. Louis County/ Jefferson County since 1982. Our Mission is: ” To show Gods love and compassion to all His People, but particularly His People in need. “ This has been our goal in all of our projects and activities. We received an invitation to participate with Dean Team Subaru for the first time last year. We didn’t know what to expect and were extremely surprised with the gift presented to us. Many of our volunteers were very impressed with the quality and generosity of the many coats, socks, gloves and hats that were brought to us for our kids. Many of the children were thrilled with the selection in colors of the coats, gloves and hats. One child (boy) about 7 was really impressed because he got to pick out his own coat, not what Mom wanted. It was light blue – his favorite color! M. C. just wanted to give everybody a fashion show about how her coat looked on her. J. B. couldn’t wait to show his new coat to his friends at school. A very shy Susie was absolutely beaming when she picked out her coat. Many of the parents were very surprised when they were told, all of this merchandise was donated by Dean Team Subaru. Make A Dogs Day - Lynese C.

Open Door Animal Sanctuary and Dean Team Subaru in Ballwin collaborated to create a heartwarming Trunk or Treat adoption event. This year's Subaru Loves Pets Month brought joy to the lives of several animals, with two remarkable stories standing out: the heartwarming tale of "The Golden Girls" and the inspiring journey of "Ducky." The Golden Girls were a group of four senior dogs who had formed an unbreakable bond over the years. Their incredible story of friendship and resilience touched the hearts of all who heard their story. These four senior dogs found their forever home together, a testament to the power of love and the compassion of their new family. The unity of The Golden Girls was a symbol of the profound connections that can be forged between animals and humans. Ducky, a remarkable dog with a neurological disorder, embarked on a journey that showcased the strength of the human-animal bond. Despite facing unique challenges, Ducky's unwavering spirit and determination shone brightly. During the month, Ducky found a loving forever home, proving that every animal, regardless of their condition, deserves a chance at happiness and a place to call their own. These two stories, exemplify the essence of Open Door Animal Sanctuary's mission. They underscore the significance of finding loving forever homes for all animals, regardless of age or physical condition. The event was a celebration of compassion, unity, and the enduring power of love between humans and their animal companions. Open Door Animal Sanctuary, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1975, remains the largest no-kill shelter in the greater St. Louis area and the State of Missouri. Their mission is to offer homeless cats and dogs a second chance at life by providing them with the highest quality of care and helping them find loving forever families. ODAS serves the community by taking in stray, abused, neglected, and unwanted cats and dogs and placing them up for adoption. Every day, they provide shelter, food, medical care, and love to over 400 animals, offering each one a home and a renewed opportunity for a better life. Helping Angels’ Arms Foster Parents and Children Thrive - Mary M.

Helping Angels’ Arms Foster Parents and Children Thrive For the past eight years, Dean Team Subaru has embraced the vision of Angels’ Arms by helping provide a community-supported foster care system where parents and children thrive. The Dean Team’s far-reaching support has touched foster families living in Angels’ Arms homes as well as many additional foster children. They have worked with several Angels’ Arms teens as they were aging out of foster care. Dean Team supplied critically needed vehicles for these teens who required transportation to jobs, college and/or job training, assisting them in moving toward adulthood and independence. They also assisted Angels’ Arms when our utility vehicle needed work. Going above and beyond, Dean Team held numerous drives at the dealership, collecting much needed laundry detergent, paper products, personal care items and food, providing critical supplies for Angels’ Arms foster families and hungry foster youth. But their support doesn’t stop there. Dean Team is a major sponsor for many Angels’ Arms events, helping assure that funds are raised to support the mission of providing homes, resources and experiences for the foster youth. They also continue each year to “adopt” numerous children through the holiday giving program, assuring that each foster child enjoys personal gifts and a very special holiday celebration, often for the first time in their lives. Angels’ Arms vision of a community-supported foster care system truly comes to life through Dean Team Subaru, and we are beyond grateful for their generosity and support.

The Dean Team, Subaru Loves Pets -Make A Dogs Day - Bogey - Lynese C.

The Dean Team has always supported Open Door Animal Sanctuary (ODAS). If we have a need, they are there to make it happen! From sponsoring our Paws To Party Annual Gala, to sponsoring our First Responders Calendar, to Truck or Treat, we can count on The Dean Team to provide financial support for our dogs and cats. During the difficult two years of the pandemic, The Dean Team helped ODAS feature our animals which in turn helped them to find their forever homes. We are grateful for all their support throughout the years! This year, for Subaru Loves Pets, we featured one of our most energetic dogs named Bogey. Bogey is a year old and found his forever home shortly after arriving at Open Door, thanks to The Dean Team and Subaru and their promise to donate $100 for every dog adopted during October. The Trunk Or Treat event at The Dean Team Subaru was a hit with the kids, dogs and families. We brought a handful of our puppies to the event, which all were adopted the following day (adoptions have to be done at our shelter). The exposure Open Door received because of the Subaru Loves Pets assisted in helping us reach our goals. During the month of October 40 dogs were adopted and 57 cats found their forever homes. The Dean Team always exceeds our expectations and is willing to donate whatever resources that are at their disposal. We are grateful for their support! Open Door Animal Sanctuary, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, founded in 1975, is the largest no-kill shelter in the greater St. Louis area and State of Missouri.
