There’s a lot to get excited about with this year’s Subaru Ascent. A suite of driver-assistance features comes standard to give you peace of mind on the road, and there’s space for the whole family and all their luggage. Multiple trims are available so you can choose the perfect 2023 Subaru Ascent to suit your lifestyle.

Base Level: Subaru Ascent

Every trim in the lineup comes with a turbo-four engine that makes 260 horsepower and continuously variable automatic transmission. We love that all-wheel drive comes standard across the whole Ascent range. The airy cabin, which boasts 17.8 cubic feet of storage space behind the third row, seats eight people thanks to a second-row bench seat. Enjoy features like cloth upholstery, an 11.6-inch infotainment touchscreen, satellite radio, and a six-speaker audio system.

Excitingly, an abundance of safety features come with the base trim, so you can relax as you hit the road. These features are a rearview camera, pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, pre-collision throttle management, emergency braking, automatic high beam headlights, forward automatic emergency braking, and adaptive headlights. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave this car the highest possible rating of Good in all six of its crash tests.

Subaru Ascent Premium & Onyx Edition

Next up is the Ascent Premium, which gains you interior perks like heated front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, stain-repellent cloth upholstery, and new safety features like lane-change assist. The seven-passenger model, which comes with second-row captain seats, is now available. The higher Onyx trim comes with a blacked-out cabin, a heated steering wheel, an X-Mode terrain management system with driving modes like Mud and Deep Snow, and a panoramic moonroof.

Limited Edition & Onyx Edition Limited

Climb into the Ascent Limited Edition for leather upholstery, heated second-row seats, and LED fog lights. It also includes the Technology performance package, which will see you enjoying a 14-speaker audio system and a surround-view parking camera. The Onyx Edition Limited trim is new for 2023 and combines the features of the Limited model with the style elements of the Onyx model. It also adds water-repellant upholstery and an in-vehicle intercom system.

Subaru Ascent Touring

Finally, the Touring trim offers the most premium driving experience with touches like Nappa leather-trimmed upholstery, a rear-camera mirror, ventilated front seats, and a 120-volt household-style power outlet. The Technology package also comes standard here. This model is exclusively available as a seven-seater. While almost every feature comes standard at this level, remote engine start, a luggage rack, fog lamps, and interior cargo shade are available.
