Under the hood of the WRX is a 2.4L turbocharged BOXER engine, producing 271 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The standard transmission is a six-speed manual that offers direct control and engagement, but a continuously variable automatic transmission with paddle shifters is available too. Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive is standard across the lineup, featuring active torque vectoring that improves stability and traction.

A new track-ready tS trim has been introduced for the 2025 model year, featuring a track-tuned suspension for shaper handling, as well as Brembo four-piston front brakes. Most trims ride on 18-inch wheels, but the tS trim features 19-inch star-shaped wheels that support Bridgestone Potenza S007 tires. Intelligent Technology

The WRX has an 11.6-inch infotainment touchscreen that uses Subaru’s STARLINK Multimedia software. It offers wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth connectivity, SiriusXM radio, and a navigation system in the Limited trim and above. Premium and Limited trims come with a traditional analog instrument cluster, while GT and tS trims feature a fully digital display.

All trims feature standard EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, which uses a series of radars and sensors to prevent collisions, optimize cruise control, and provide warnings.
